Aerodynamics Lamborghini Attiva 2.0 Lamborghini's patented ALA system has been optimized for the Aventador SVJ Roadster, earning it the name of ALA 2.0, thanks to the innovative design of the air intakes and aerodynamic channels. The system has been recalibrated taking into account the greater lateral accelerations of the car. The ALA system actively varies the aerodynamic load to achieve high downforce or low resistance, depending on dynamic conditions. The electronically activated engines open or close the active flaps in the front splitter and on the engine hood that direct the air flow to the front and rear.
The new Aventador SVJ Roadster offers a unique combination between the active steering system (Lamborghini Dynamic Steering) and the rear one (Lamborghini Rear-wheel Steering), to offer a top-level dynamic performance. The LDS system adapts to the speed and driving mode selected by the driver by switching from direct steering to a more indirect one, while the LRS system manages the rear steering axle thanks to two electromechanical actuators. Thanks to this system, at low speeds the rear axle steers in the opposite direction to the front one, leading to a virtual reduction of the wheelbase, which translates into greater agility and unattainable cornering performance. At high speed, on the other hand, the two axes rotate parallel: this generates a virtual increase in wheelbase, thus ensuring full control of the car and great stability.
The new Aventador SVJ Roadster has magneto-rheological front and rear shock absorbers with pushrod system, which constantly change the behavior of the suspension depending on the conditions of the road and the driving mode selected by the driver. In addition to compensating for unwanted body roll and body movements, the system was specifically designed to work together with the Rear-wheel Steering System, thus ensuring a perfect response in all conditions, and guaranteeing ALA to maximize efficiency and downforce, while maintaining constant aerodynamic flow generated between the ground and the ground in all trim conditions.
